Outside my window... black clouds and rain


I am thinking... will my family be okay tomorrow while I leave them for 12 hours!

From the kitchen... wafts of chicken roasting

I am wearing... blue jeans and a t-shirt


I am creating... absolutely nothing :-( unless you count the mountain in my waste paper basket!

I am going... to Kate Crane's art journaling class at Art From The Heart tomorrow! It's been booked since July.. can't believe it's actually tomorrow!

I am reading... Harry Potter.. The Goblet of Fire to DS1.. still! (almost finished!)

I am hoping... everyone is still friends when I return home

I am hearing...  The Penguins of Madagascar on tv.. they all hilarious! My 4 yr old is sat transfixed!

Around the house... newspaper all over the floor while our new furbaby litter trains

One of my favorite things... just sitting and watching our new little furball.. and seeing the smiles on everyones faces.. it's only her 3rd day with us and already she has brought so much joy to our household

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Harrogate! I'M GOING TO HARROGATE!!

Outside my window... pitch black with stars.. it's 1am.. I can't sleep!


I am thinking... why did I have to loose my Dad so soon after my Mum.. :-(

From the kitchen... CLOSED

I am wearing... scruffies


I am creating... can't tell.. it's TOP SECRET!

I am going... to loose it soon.. DS1 is pressing ALL my buttons and he knows it :-(

I am reading... Harry Potter.. The Goblet of Fire to DS1.. still! (almost finished!)


I am hoping... I daren't hope for anything right now.. 

I am hearing...  snoring!

Around the house... Sympathy cards and beautiful flowers.. I feel very touched.

One of my favorite things... at the moment.. the colours of wool I am using to make a crochet blanket that I can just pick up and work on for 5 mins.. (will add pic in the morning!)

A few plans for the rest of the week:  trying not to think about them..

I alway believe there are many lessons to be learnt by stopping and taking the time to spend some quality time with Mother nature.. she has lots of lessons to teach us.. just look at these little ladybirds..

Outside my window... blue skies, white fluffy clouds & a faint sun


I am thinking... why do I still look at the clock every evening expecting my Dad's usual call to let me know he is okay?

From the kitchen... lots of washing up awaiting my attention!!

I am wearing... outside clothes.. I haven't had chance to change


I am creating... a surprise for an online event coming soon!!

I am going... back to the dreaded hospital to collect a certificate of death tomorrow and then to the Register Office....

I am reading... Harry Potter.. The Goblet of Fire to DS1.. still! (almost finished!)


I am hoping... I won't have changed too much when life settles down again..

I am hearing... the sounds of Super Mario Galaxy!

Around the house... Sympathy cards everywhere..

One of my favorite things... at the moment.. the colours of wool I am using to make a crochet blanket that I can just pick up and work on for 5 mins.. that helps me to forget everything that I've got to get organised...

A few plans for the rest of the week:  can't bare to think about it.. altho I do have an hair appointment.. I'm thinking of going short??

Outside my window... rain.. again! ... back to normal then!

I am thinking... what's causing my bones to ache constantly..

I am thankful for... that my vertigo feels like it is finally lifting after 7 1/2  months!

From the kitchen... shut til lunch..

I am wearing... soggy wet jeans turned up at the bottom & long sleeved t-shirt

I am creating... with the most gorgeous digi images..

I am going... to be another year older in 3 days.. yikes!

I am reading... STILL reading.. Harry Potter book 4 to my eldest son..

I am hoping...  we soon get our broken windows fixed & the house re-painted after the fire.. (see my other blog.. HERE)

I am hearing... rainfall outside :(

Around the house... seedlings that were potted on yesterday.. too tiny for the garden just yet!

One of my favourite things... huggles with my little boy

A few plans for the rest of the week:  meeting my very dear friend She tomorrow... trying to come to turns with another birthday!! & hopefully creating art.. it is so good for my soul :)

I am thinking... of my wonderful dear Mum & best friend..she died suddenly on Good Friday a couple of years ago.. can't help but re-live the day :(

I am thankful for... having wonderful cyber friends

From the kitchen... home-made cheesey fish pie

I am wearing... summer clothes

I am creating... the finishing touches to my 365 art journal pages for April.. another month nearly gone..

I am going... to buy some bedding plants for my Dad as he is housebound.

I am reading... STILL reading.. Harry Potter book 4 to my eldest son..

I am hoping... to receive a text message from someone special on Sunday saying we can meet! 

I am hearing... not a lot.. it's almost peaceful!

Around the house... signs it's the school holidays

A few plans for the rest of the week: Ooooh!!! going to the Royal Wedding concert at my little one's Nursery on Thursday :)

I am thinking... how I don't like New Year's Eve..

I am thankful for... breaks from vertigo..

From the kitchen... the smells of home-made ciabatta

I am wearing... casual clothes & my slippers!

I am creating... the finishing touches to the last page of my 2010 365 art journal calendar.. can't believe I've kept it going all year!

I am going... to the cemetry in the morning to see how things are now the snow has melted..

I am reading... HP 3 still! to DS1

I am hoping... everyone I know & love has a safe, happy, peaceful New Year.. the unknown frightens me..

I am hearing... peaceful sounds after a hectic day..

I am thankful for...gaps in my vertigo

From the kitchen... it's CLOSED... this time of night!

I am wearing... comfy house pants & t-shirt

I am creating... an art journal page before I go to bed.. got some journal spilling I NEED to do...

I am going... to bed shortly... & the Christingle service in Church tomorrow.. carols by candlelight.. beautiful. :)

I am reading... Harry Potter Goblet of Fire to DS1 (want to finished it before Christmas but it's not looking likely I keep falling asleep when I put DS2 to bed!!

I am hoping... for my vertigo to COMPLETELY disappear ASAP

Outside my window... damp & wet start to the day but the skies look promising..

I am thinking... will my art journal pages be acceptable in someone else's journal..

I am thankful for... the occasional breaks from vertigo..

From the kitchen... smells of breakfast..

I am wearing... PJ's

I am creating... an art journal spread in someone's journal

I am going... to find a new winter coat for my little one..

I am reading... Journal Spilling.. HP & the goblet of fire with DS1 & Guess how much I love you? with DS2..

I am hoping... to organise a Christmas Day meal at my Dad's as he was in hospital last Christmas..

I am hearing... the boys falling out.. why can't they play together nicely :(

Around the house... toys all over the floor!

One of my favorite things... my watercolour art journal... a place to lose myself :)

A few plans for the rest of the week: ... finish the art journal pages I'm working on ready for posting..

Here is picture I am sharing...

My little boy worked so hard for days & days colouring a picture a little at a time.. He was so very careful to not go out of the lines.. & persevered.. & it paid off! .. He won a competition!

I am so happy for him.. his artwork has gone on show this week & he had his photograph taken with some important people! He has learnt an important lesson & bagged some confidence :)
